Edwardsburg second at Wolverine tennis tourney

PAW PAW — Newcomer Edwardsburg finished second to Allegan at the Wolverine Conference Tennis Championships held at Paw Paw Friday and Saturday.

The Tigers swept all eight championship flights and finished with 84 points. The Eddies were runner-up at all four doubles flights to finish with 84 points.

Dowagiac was 10th with 30 points.

Edwardsburg’s Kim Bartz was named Coach of the Year.

Finishing second for the Eddies were Kinzie Hahn and Madison Hatkevich, Katie Engle and Katelynn Rogers, Sarah Ford and Haley Deak, along with Mari Grover and Hannah Weaver.
