LMC youth robotics to hold open house in Niles

Lake Michigan College Youth Robotics team members will host a Holiday Open House on Thursday, Dec. 13, at Niles Eastside Connections School to showcase the work they’ve completed during the fall 2012 semester.

Students aged 6 to 15 work on a variety of projects based on their age. The projects require computer programming of specialty Lego kits, underwater remote controlled vehicles, and robots. This semester, students earned a number of awards while at competitions throughout the state.

Information on spring 2013 classes will be available at the Holiday Open House. Please bring a non-perishable food item for the “Just One More” Holiday Food Drive, which will contribute to three local food banks.

Niles Eastside Connections School is located at N. 14th St., Niles.

For more information about LMC’s Youth Robotics program or to register for Spring 2013 classes, contact the College’s Bertrand Crossing campus at (269) 695-1391.
