Ruth Ann Osborn, 69, of Edwardsburg, formerly of Cassopolis, has gone home to be received by the Lord, Saturday, March 30, 2013, in Loyola Medical Center, Chicago.

Ruth Ann was born Sept. 8, 1943, in Niles, to Clyde and Margie (Callahan) Cole.

She married Chris Osborn June 24, 1982, in Cassopolis. Her husband survives. Her parents preceded her in death. She was also preceded by one brother-in-law, John Benjamin.

Ruth Ann was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was the most important thing to her. She loved her flowers. She and her husband would “disappear” for day trips to the beach.

Ruth Ann was passionate about all animals, large or small, wild or domestic.

Ruth Ann will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by: her husband,

Chris Osborn of Edwardsburg; two daughters, Roxanne (Chris) Brimhall of Cassopolis and

Connie (Doug Lillie) Harrington of Dowagiac; one son, Donald (Angela) Harrington of Edwardsburg; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren (with two on the way); one sister, Annette Benjamin of Dowagiac; and one brother, Don (Barbara) Cole of Niles; mother-in-law, Angelina Osborn of Edwardsburg; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather for a memorial service this spring at a date and time to be announced.

Her family prefers memorials to any organization that helps animals.
