SOUTH BEND — The No. 17 Fifth Third Ford Fusion show car will make a pit stop in South Bend Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at 301 N. Main Street.

The No. 17 Fifth Third Ford Fusion is owned by Roush Fenway Racing and driven by Ricky Stenhouse Jr., the two-time NASCAR Nationwide Series champion for 2011 and 2012.

The show car along with Roush Fenway Racing’s 75-foot transporter that serves as a mini NASCAR-themed museum will visit Fifth Third Bank of South Bend. The visit will also include race car simulators, prize giveaways and contests. Fifth Third also will take fan photos in front of the show car and provide free food.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with Roush Fenway Racing to help drive our business and build the Fifth Third Bank brand,” said Bob Sullivan, Notre Dame alum and President & CEO, Fifth Third Bank. “

Headquartered in Concord, N.C., Roush Fenway Racing is the winningest team in NASCAR history having won seven championships in NASCAR’s top three divisions and more than 400 races in drag racing, sports car and stock car racing.

“We are very pleased about our partnership with Fifth Third Bank and to help drive their business through a primary sponsorship of No. 17 Fifth Third Bank Ford Fusion. They are a well respected, innovative financial services organization with a long and rich history that shares our company’s passion for excellence and commitment to winning,” said Jack Roush, co-owner and founder of Roush Fenway Racing.
