Niles’ Atkins earned first-team All-Wolverine Conference

NILES — Shawn Atkins, of Niles, earned first-team All-Wolverine Conference boys bowling honors for the 2023-24 season.

Conference champion Sturgis and runner-up Three Rivers dominated the first team with five picks.

Atkins finished eighth in the league with an average of 187.18.

The Vikings’ Adam Jackson and Edwardsburg’s Brayden Hardy both earn honorable mention all-conference.

Hardy finished with an average of 181.50 and Jackson 172.69.

Otsego’s Chuck Kinnane was named Wolverine Conference Coach of the Year.

The Trojans were 7-0 in dual matches, while the Wildcats were 6-1. Niles finished 4-3 in dual matches and Edwardsburg 3-4.

Three Rivers won the league tournament, while Sturgis was the runner-up.
