Shelby Whitaker is a senior on the Dowagiac softball team.

Hobbies: Hanging out with my family and friends. 

My favorite softball memory: When coach [Mike] Behnke turned into choach Behnke when we all signed a ball for his 300th win.    

Future plans: Going to Southwestern Michigan College for business.

Awards/Accomplishments: High honors throughout high school.

Advice to underclassmen: Don’t take anything for granted. Take every day as if it could be the last, because high school flies by.

How have you been making the best of being quarantined? I got a job at Walmart and started working full-time.
