Edwardsburg Lions Club White Can Days May 2-3

The Edwardsburg Lions Club’s White Cane Days have been set for May 2-3.

Each year Lions members all over the world seek monetary donations during their set date for White Cane Days. Money collected goes directly to their sight fund for eye projects such as eye glasses, eye appointments, eye surgeries, and white canes for those who are blind or considered legally blind.

Last year the Edwardsburg Lions and Leo Club members worked together, standing at local businesses, and made a significant difference in the collection efforts.  The Lions and Leos put in long hours standing in front of the Marathon Station on the corner of M-62 and US-12 and at Lunker’s on US-12.

The Lions were amazed at how many community members walk up to them getting their money ready to donate to a Lion or Leo member.

The Lions members wanted to thank the community for their donations as they are helping the club help someone in our community with financial difficulties to get their eye glasses and appointments.
