Milton Twp. offers scholarships

Milton Township has announced and is encouraging applications for two scholarships:

• Milton Township will award a $500 scholarship to Southwestern Michigan College via funding from Southwestern Michigan College.

Applicants must be a Milton Township resident for at least six months.

Deadline is April 30.

• The Robert R. Robinson Memorial Scholarship Fund awards $500.

Applicants must be a college junior, senior or graduate student enrolled in a Michigan college or university pursuing a degree in public administration and be considering a career in local government.

If one wishes to apply for this scholarship, contact the township supervisor to discuss getting a copy of a resolution of support from the Milton Township board.
Deadline is May 31.

Applications for both scholarships are available at the Milton Township Hall at 32097 Bertrand St., Niles, or on the township website.
