Lipstick Jungle Spa in Niles has expanded to the former Queen Anne Ballroom at the Four Flags Hotel, adding more space for those looking to escape the stress of everyday life.

Owner Susan Sakara said expansion was needed to accommodate business growth, especially on the salon side.

“We’ve doubled our business over the past year and a half,” she said.

Lipstick Jungle Spa opened its new space last week, following three months of renovations.

The new 3,000-square-foot area includes a wet room that features a shower, for body treatments, and a pedicure room.

There’s also a new shampoo area with cutting-edge shampoo chairs that fully recline.

“There’s nobody around here that has those,” Sakara said.

Expansion also allowed space for a reception area and color bar.

“We really wanted to do something that was so different from anything else in the entire area,” Sakara said. “When you walk in the front door, I think there is the awe of what the front desk looks like, but, then, as you come around the corner, you can just feel the pure comfort of everything.

“Everything here is meant to help people to relax, and so this is the one thing that excites me the most.”

Lipstick Jungle Spa, which opened in 2004, is a hair salon and full-service day spa, offering everything from massages to facials to body treatments.

Sakara attributes her business growth to offering high-quality treatments and top-notch customer service.

“When people come in, we take care of them like they are part of our immediate family,” she said. “We really try to give that feeling of complete relaxation and comfort, so when they come here, they do feel like they’ve stepped into another place.”

Lipstick Jungle Spa is located at 404 E. Main St. inside the historic Four Flags Hotel. Call (269) 683-7500 or go online at lipstickjunglespa.com. Also find them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/LipstickJungleSpa.
