Auto-Owners Insurance recently announced that the Kemner-Iott Agency of Cass County has been named one of its Top 10 growth agencies for the Western Michigan Region for 2012.

Dan Iott, president of the company, was pleased with the efforts of not only the office located in Cassopolis, but the Adrian office, which received a similar award for the Eastern Michigan Region.

“We are really proud,” he said. “That little Cassopolis office that we built in 2007 has developed into a real significant, employee-owned, agency. Ours is a tough industry, but we were No. 5 out of over 300 agents in the region, while our Adrian office was No. 8.”

The agencies were recognized at a luncheon meeting in Lansing and at a reception with all regional associates, where they were presented with plaques commemorating their achievements.

Kemner-Iott of Cass County has represented Auto-Owners since 1980.

“Their growth and support only help to make the entire community stronger and more secure,” Jeff Harrold, chairman and CEO of Auto-Owners said. “We are grateful they choose to do business with us.”

Auto-Owners is a Michigan-based company founded in 1916 in Mt. Pleasant. It is a Fortune 500 company and is the 18th largest property/casualty insurance company in the nation.

“Auto-Owners is a great company,” Iott said. “They have received the J.D. Powers and Associates award for claim service the last five years.”
