Ring Lardner eighth grade improves to 3-0

The Ringer Lardner eighth grade football team improved to 3-0 with a 12-7 win over Benton Harbor Wednesday.

The Vikings Cameron Haines broke a scoreless tie in the third quarter as he scored on Niles’ first possession of the second half on a 20-yard run.

The Tigers took the lead with 2:25 remaining in the contest on a tipped ball.

The Vikings responded by going 80 yards in the final two minutes, scoring with three ticks left on the clock on a 2-yard run by Haines.

Defensively for Niles, Jacob Harrison and Cad Stephenson both had sacks.

The Ring Lardner seventh grade was blanked by Benton Harbor 21-0 Wednesday.

No individual results were provided.
