Bucks earn split at Bronson

BRONSON — The Buchanan baseball team was 1-1 at the Bronson Invitational Saturday.

The Bucks were defeated by Parchment in the opening game 2-1 despite outhitting the Panthers 7-5.

Buchanan (2-1) rebounded to win the second game against host Bronson, 18-2.

In the first game, Cash Krumrie had three hits, including a double, while Nathan Henckel added a pair of singles.

Krumrie worked six innings for the Bucks and took the loss.

Buchanan scored 18 runs on just seven hits, but took advantage of six Vikings’ errors to win the second game.

Justin Henderson had three hits, including a double. The Bucks also got two hits, including a double from Dalton Shearer, as well as a double and a triple from Krumrie.

Nathan Henckel and A.J. Reed each added two hits.

Shearer worked three innings to earn the pitching victory.
