See characters of the Underground Railroad in Cass County come to life on Friday, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the historic Bonine House on M-60 and Penn Road in Vandalia.

Sam Adams Elementary School students have researched their characters and have written a short script describing them. They will be in costume and when a ‘button’ is pushed they will recite a brief overview of their character. Some of the students will be portraying their actual ancestors.

This is a fun, interesting way to learn the history of the Underground Railroad in Cass County.

The event is free and enjoyable for all ages.
