Dowagiac shop shows “Power of Pink”

The Marshall Shoppe, 138 S. Front St. in downtown Dowagiac, is aiming to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer this weekend, hosting its first “Power of Pink” event from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the shop.

The event will feature sales on several items in The Marshall Shoppe, which includes the brand Brighton. The ladies clothing and accessory store will feature a 50 percent sale on retired Brighton items, an additional 30 percent off all clearance items, 10 percent off new fall fashions and a preview of the limited edition “Power of Pink” bracelet from Brighton, which donates $10 from each bracelet sold to breast cancer research.

Shoppers will also be able to purchase the FDJ French Dressing Limited Edition denim sneakers. A portion of each sale of the sneakers will go toward a local charity to help fight breast cancer.

The event will also include a gift certificate drawing, door prizes and limited edition promotional items such as T-shirts and sweatshirts.
