Hojara signs with LMC

Former Dowagiac standout Meghan Hojara has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at Lake Michigan College.

Hojara, who played for Dowagiac during her freshman and sophomore seasons, transferred to South Haven for her final two prep campaigns.

This past year, Hojara earned All-Wolverine Conference honors as well as Division 2 All-District, All-Regional and All-State honorable mention status.

Hojara, who played center field for the Rams, hit .422 with 36 RBIs, 28 runs scored, 10 doubles and five triples.

She will play softball for former Dowagiac all-stater and LMC athletic director Melissa Grau. She will pursue a career in graphic design.

Hojara has also been selected to play in the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association All-Star game July 18 at Michigan State University.

She is the daughter of Jerry and Jimijune Fryman and Scott Hojara.
