Vikings sweep Kalamazoo Central

KALAMAZOO – Visiting Niles swept a pair of Big 16 West Division baseball games from Kalamazoo Central Tuesday.

The Vikings (15-10, 7-5 West) won the opener 8-1 and then complete the sweep with a 13-2 victory in five innings in the nightcap.

In the opening game, Mitchell Dehn picked up the victory with Jake Brentlinger earning the save.

Taylor Weldy had two hits and three RBIs for Niles, which also got doubles from Chris Mangus, Landon Kulwicki and Dehn.

In the second game, Tate Brawley earned the win as he tossed a three-hitter.

Brentlinger had four hits and drove in two runs for the Vikings. Brawley singled, doubled and collected two RBIs, while Connor Glick doubled and drove in two runs. Brad Miller also had a double.

Dakota McDonald homored for the Vikings.
