Opal’s open house on Saturday
Opal Vandenburg of Dowagiac, who owned Opal’s store for 37 years, celebrates her 90th birthday with an open house on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Pokagon United Methodist Church.
Born July 11, 1923, her family includes daughters Marcia (Ken) Reed and Linda (Dave) Kramb; son, Roy (Sue) Vandenburg; seven grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
