Michelle Prillwitz, 1201 Cedar Street, is the recipient of this year’s Niles Garden Club Green Thumb Award.

The Niles Garden Club gives the award to area gardeners that improve the looks for Niles by having a pleasing garden. They like to encourage local gardeners to work in their yards to make Niles a prettier place to live.

They also presented a Green Thumb award to Andy and Mark Anderson of 2726 S. 13th Street. They have a large yard and have several different areas that they have worked on that catch your eye as you drive by. They used to sell plants from their yard but no longer have the time for that part of gardening.

If you have any questions regarding the Niles Garden Club or their activities, feel free to call Doreen Secor at (269) 683-1088.
