James Edward Bowman, Jr., 34, of South Bend, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2013 at his residence.

James was born Oct. 1, 1978 in Niles to James and Carol (Truex) Bowman, Sr. His parents survive.

James was really into paintball. He worked for several different auto repair shops, but really enjoyed working on his friend’s race car. He loved spending time with his daughter, Cora. James loved camping, fishing and archery.

James will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his parents, James and Carol (Truex) Bowman Sr. of Edwardsburg; one daughter, Cora Bowman; two sons, Joseph Bowman and Austin Barnett; paternal grandparents, Alvin and Irma (Hartman) Bowman of Florida.

Family and friends gathered in Dailey Church for a service officiated by Pastor Doug Tindall. James’ remains will be laid to rest in Dailey Cemetery near his extended family.

The family prefers memorial contributions in James’ name to any food pantry.
