Local hoop teams busy during break

All local basketball teams will be in action during the holiday break.

Dowagiac, Niles, Brandywine, Cassopolis and Edwardsburg will all be playing in holiday tournaments in Benton Harbor, Coldwater, Bangor, Kalamazoo and White Pigeon; respectively.

 

Earl McKee holiday tourney

Dowagiac will open the Benton Harbor annual tournament against Bridgman at 6 p.m. Friday.

The host Tigers will face Muskegon Heights at approximately 8 p.m.

The consolation game will be played at 6 p.m. Saturday with the championship game following at approximately 8 p.m.

 

Bangor holiday tourney

The Brandywine girls basketball team will face Comstock in the first game at Bangor at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Cassopolis is also in the field and will face host Bangor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

The championship game is Saturday.

 

White Pigeon holiday tourney

The Bobcat boys basketball team will play at 5 p.m. on Friday.

The championship game is Saturday.

 

Coldwater Holiday Hoops

The Niles girls basketball team will play at 1:30 p.m. both days in Coldwater.

 

Loy Norrix holiday tourney

The Cassopolis boys basketball team will travel to Kalamazoo to play in the Loy Norrix tournament, which begins Friday and concludes Saturday.

Tickets for most tournament games are $5 per person and no league passes are accepted.
