Bobcats’ Martin, Moody named honorable mention all-state

NILES — The honors keep rolling in for the Brandywine girls tennis team.

After receiving Division 4 Academic All-State last week, the Bobcats’ No.1 doubles team of Hannah Martin and Ava Moody have been named honorable mention all-state at No. 4 doubles.

Martin, a senior, and Moody, a junior, were 22-2 this past season to help Brandywine to an undefeated season, as well as, BCS Athletic Conference and Division 4 regional championships.

The duo advanced to the second round of the Division 4 state finals before falling to No. 3 seeded Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central.

Martin finishes her Brandywine career with an 80-15 overall record, while Moody is 41-6.
