Use GPS, find chili

The Geocache Chili Dump is noon to 4 p.m. March 10 at St. Patrick’s County Park on Laurel Road in South Bend.  The location is N 41⁰ 45.473’, W 086⁰ 16.055’.  For those without GPS units, this is the White Barn Harvest Room.  The fee for this program is $5 per person.

Bring some chili to contribute to the lunch pot and learn how to use a Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) device on a high-tech “treasure hunt” to find caches at St. Patrick’s County Park. Bring a GPS unit if possible; limited loaner units are available.

Don’t know what geocaching is all about?  Check out www.geocaching.com to find out more about this international sport.  A geocaching course will be set up for this event.

Bowls, spoons, fixin’s and drinks provided.

Registration and payment are required by March 7.

For more information or to make reservations, call (574) 277-4828.
