Olfactory Hue Bistro to host grand opening

Niles Main Street’s newest restaurant, Olfactory Hue Bistro, will hold its grand opening May 3.

Festivities begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3 p.m. and include free hors d’oeuvres from the Bistro kitchen, as well as an opportunity to chat with Daysha Amster, the restaurant’s owner and chef.

For this evening only, the restaurant will offer dinner service, which begins at 5 p.m., as well as a selection of premium beers and wines. Proceeds from alcohol sales will go to benefit the Niles Burn Run. Seating is first come, first serve. Normal business hours will be 8 a.m. to 3 pm. Tuesday through Sunday for breakfast and lunch.

Beer and wine will not be available on a regular basis, though Amster plans on adding a liquor license in the near future.

Amster said community outreach will be a constant focus of Olfactory Hue. Amster, a Niles native, will focus on food that is local, sustainable and handmade. She plans to highlight a different local nonprofit organization each month, offering multiple ways to support the cause and raise awareness.
