NILES — Small business owner and Niles resident Angela Jones has announced her bid for Michigan House District 37.

“I believe that transparency in government is necessary in eliminating corruption and keeping the government working for the people. I have experienced the challenges of being a single parent and I empathize with the concerns that many Southwest Michigan residents face,” Jones said. “I understand the worries about the economy and how it can impact both businesses and families. I believe that my constituents deserve proper representation and I am driven to work for them and their families, ensuring that they are able to lead fulfilling and prosperous lives.”

Jones’ questions for her constituents: how can she make life better for people? How can she be of service and make a difference in the lives of the people in her community?

Jones and her husband are proud homeowners in downtown Niles where they have created a loving home for their family and rescue animals. She appreciates the vibrant culinary scene that southwest Michigan has to offer, taking pleasure in exploring the numerous local restaurants and breweries, enjoying the diverse flavors and experiences they provide.

Her campaign will largely focus on three areas: labor and workers’ rights, protecting agriculture and equity.
