Charles King Jost

Charles K. Jost, 80, of Edwardsburg, passed away at Silverbrook Nursing Home in Niles on Tuesday, March 26, 2013.

He was born on Aug. 17, 1932 in Michigan City, Ind. to the late Joseph and Isabella (King) Jost.

On April 26, 2009 he married Retha Ann at a ceremony in Niles.

He worked for many years in tool and die and was very active in volunteer firefighting, including being a chief for many years.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

He is survived by his wife Retha Ann Jost of Edwardsburg, his children; Jeff, Brian, Bruce and Charlene Jost and Jennifer Weisner, three step-children; Gina Hicks, Regina Lash and Kenneth Tucker and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Charles served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy and will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta at a later time.
