Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg Police call log

On Feb. 18, the Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg Police Department responded to an accident at Redfield Road and Meadow Drive.

Driver Kenneth Cleveland, 43, of Elkhart, Ind. hit a car that failed to yield at the intersection of Redfield and Meadow, which was diven by Jocelyne Dempsey, 44, of Edwardsburg.

On Feb 20, the police responded to a two-vehicle accident at Eagle Lake Road and US-12.

Beverly Wilkins, 74, of Edwardsburg failed to yield at Eagle Lake and US-12 after not being able to see above a snow bank. She was struck by Michael Reid, 36, of Niles. Wilkins was taken to Elkhart General for treatment of her injuries.

Reid was treated at the scene.

Also on Feb. 20, the police investigated a hit-and-run crash on Christiana Lake Road.

A parked vehicle, owned by Alex Danowsi of Christian Lake Road, was hit by a vehicle that left the scene of the crash and should have damage to the left front headlight area.

The make or type of vehicle is unknown at this time and the accident remains under investigation.

1:39 a.m. — Conrad and US-12, unreported crash (vehicle found crashed into utility pole)
