ALBION — Clinton Orr matched his career-high with four touchdowns in Albion College’s 35-16 win over Central (Iowa) College Saturday and he was rewarded Monday by being named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association’s Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.

A senior from Buchanan, Orr returned the opening kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown and he reached the end zone on runs of 5, 25, and 40 yards. Orr finished the afternoon with 208 all-purpose yards — 118 rushing on 24 carries and the 90-yard kick return. His four touchdowns matched the career-high he established in the Britons’ 35-10 win over Greenville on Sept. 18, 2010.

Orr had scored 11 touchdowns through four games this season and is tied for the Division III lead in scoring. He is 17th on the D-III ladder in all-purpose yards (averaging a shade more than 178 yards per game) and he is 37th in rushing at nearly 115 yards per contest.

Albion, which completed the non-league portion of its schedule with a 3-1 record, is idle this week. The Britons travel to Angola, Ind., Oct. 6 to begin Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play at Trine University.
