Most everyone agrees that earning a high school diploma is necessary in today’s world and job market. However, lack of child care often prevents individuals with young children from completing their coursework leading to a high school diploma.

Fortunately, there is a solution.

Within the walls of Bell Education Center, students and adults with children are able to take advantage of the day care provided to enrolled students and adults free of charge.

Mary Coleman, who is in charge of day care services at Bell Education Center, has more than 12 years of experience taking special care of infants, toddlers and children of all ages.  She provides educational activities along with a nurturing and loving environment. Coleman, also known as “Miss Mary” to the young ones and students, stresses respect, healthy eating and living and structure for the children within the day care.

Young mothers, who are new to child raising, often seek out parenting and child care advice from Coleman.

Students and adults who are looking for a way to earn their high school diploma, but have put it off because no child care is available, should contact Bell Education Center for enrollment information. The address is 1830 South Third St., Niles and the phone number is (269) 683-8805. The day care is available from 8 to 11 a.m. Mondays through Fridays during the school year.
