Virgil Lovelace, 64, of Dowagiac, passed away Friday, June 12, 2020, at his home.

A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. graveside, on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Riverside Cemetery with Larry Brewer officiating. Friends may visit with the family from noon until the time of service at the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane society. Virgil was born June 20, 1955, in South Bend, to William and Virginia (Francis) Lovelace.

He attended Dowagiac High School.

On Nov. 17, 1972, he married the love of his life Diana “Candy” Keene in Paw Paw. Together they owned and operated their own business, Dowagiac Heating and Air Conditioning for 35 years.

Virgil was an Avid Detroit Tigers fan. He loved playing softball and gambling at the local casinos. Most of all he loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Virgil is survived by his loving wife, Candy; daughter, Katina (Fred Binns) Lovelace; grandchildren, Kassidy Binns and Kanyon Binns; siblings Charlotte (Glen) Waterson, Regina Lovelace and Jamie Lovelace; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved cats.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Chris Lovelace.
