Carlton Dean Cunningham, 81, of South Bend, passed away at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka on Saturday, May 23, 2020.

Carlton was born on Sept. 4, 1938, to the late Charles K. and E. Louise (Hammitt) Cunningham in Galion, Ohio.

After graduating from Galion High School, Carlton went on to earn his engineering degree from Ohio Northern University. Carlton loved what he did and only recently retired as a Management Consultant.

Carlton also had a passion for music and played in the Culver Military School Band, as well as high school and in a Swing-Big Band during college. 

On March 29, 1964, he wed Judy-Louise Griscott at a ceremony in Galion. Together they had three children. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Carlton is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judy-Louise Cunningham; children, Bethann (Jeff) Woollard, of Hilliard, Ohio, Carlton Dean (Connie) Cunningham Jr., of Cassopolis, and Charles (Jessica) Cunningham, of Western Springs, Illinois; six grandchildren; and close friends.

A private interment was at Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware, Ohio on Saturday, May 30, 2020.
