Adam Mather, 32, of Dowagiac, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.

A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be hosted.

Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. The service will be available to view on at 11 a.m. Friday at holymaternityofmary.com/live-stream.

Adam was born on Sept. 16, 1987, to Daniel and Patricia (Dye) Mather in Dowagiac.

He graduated from Dowagiac High School and then continued his education at the University of Phoenix.

Adam worked for multiple fast food restaurants, most recently at Taco Bell, in Paw Paw, as assistant manager.

He enjoyed working on computers, playing video games, Pokemon Go and Magic the Gathering. Adam was a very humble man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. His compassion and commitment to his friends and family will not be forgotten.

Adam is survived by his partner, Bob French, of Kalamazoo; parents, Dan and Patti Mather, of Dowagiac; siblings, Daniel (Brandy) Mather, of Dowagiac, David (Katrinea) Mather, of Eau Claire, Allycia (Christopher) Rudlaff, of Benton Harbor, and Courtney Lovelace, of Dowagiac; nieces and nephews, Hunter, Annalisa, Madison, Dylan, Andrew “Loui,” and Elisabeth; God son, Carter Thompson; and grandparents, Bruce and Patricia Mather and Marilyn Dye.

Adam was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Dye.
