Allen James Kiefer Jr., 52, of Niles, passed away at his home on Thursday, April 23, 2020.

Allen was born on Oct. 1, 1967, to Allen Kiefer Sr. and Wilma Torrence in Cherry Point, North Carolina.

After graduating from high school, Allen proudly served his country as a member of the Navy. He spent his working years taking care of the elderly and handicap. Allen loved his time in the Navy.

He enjoyed being on the water, spending time fishing. He had a passion for cars, even making model cars. He loved Dodge and had never seen a Ford that he liked. He loved camping and spending time outdoors. He was friendly and would give the shirt off of his back to help a neighbor, something he actually did once. He taught CPR and enjoyed helping others. But what Allen loved most was spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Allen Kiefer Sr.; and his paternal grandparents, Shirley and Richard Kiefer.

Allen will be remembered by his wife, Roxie; children, Robert (Rebecca) Wickizer Jr., of Niles, and Sean (Dana Haase) Platz, of Niles; grandchildren, Tasha Sharrer, Amanda Sharrer, Dustin Wickizer, Joey Wickizer and Miranda Platz; seven other grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Jaliyah Townsend, Jeremiah Sharrer, Zoey Sharrer and baby Wickizer on the way; his mother, Wilma; siblings, Robert Kiefer, David Kiefer, Ernie Kiefer and Cora Hammond, all of Pensacola, Florida; sister-in-law, Sue Anderson, of Niles; and many extended family members and close friends.

Allen will be laid to rest next to his father in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida. Full military honors will be rendered at that time. Memories, condolences, and photos may be left for the family at BrownFuneralHomeNiles.com.
