Ida M. Campbell, 98, of Niles, passed away, Monday, March 9, 2020, at the West Woods of Niles.

A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2020, at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, with Boyd Saylor officiating.

Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac. Friends may visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the funeral home. Ida was born May 29, 1921, in Paregoric, Ark to Rothard and Emma (Schlachter) O’Neill. In February 1940 she married her first husband, the late Paul Johnson. Ida later met Thomas Campbell, who she married April 21, 2007.

She had a strong faith in God and that was shown through her long-time commitment to the Keeler Church of God. Ida loved cooking and playing cards, especially Rummy, with her friends and family. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Ida is survived by her children, James (Ruby) Johnson, Densel (Lynn) Johnson, Linda (Rex) Vansandt, Floyd (Edith) Johnson, Diane Fry, Sharon (Jim) Sands, Jack (Tonya) Johnson, Lisa (Carl) Wisecaver and Pama Mentez; 27 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several step-siblings.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Paul Johnson; second husband, Thomas Campbell; children, David Johnson, Mark Johnson, Bruce Johnson, Ronnie Jonson and Phyllis Pramley; two sisters and several step-siblings; and her step-mother, Pearl O’Neil.
