Brandywine runs past Saugatuck 45-10

NILES — Score early and often was the theme for the Brandywine Bobcats in their 45-10 win over visiting Saugatuck Friday night.

The Bobcats (3-0) scores two touchdowns in each of the first three quarters to easily defeat the Indians, which dropped to 1-2 on the year.

Jordan Abrams rushed for 118 yards on 16 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns, while Gabe Gouin and Brock Prenkert also scored rushing touchdowns.

Gouin was 3-of-4 passing for 100 yards and a touchdown to Brown, who finished with two receptions for 68 87 yards.

The Bobcats finished with 369 yards of total offense compared to 166 for Saugatuck.

Leading the defensive charge for Brandywine were Prenkert with 11 tackles, Steven Kendall and Connor Janowiak with 10 stops, while Abrams and Jakob Luczkowsk both intercepted passes.

Ty Mickiewicz recovered a fumble for the Bobcats, who host Wyoming Lee Friday night.
