Myrna Sanders, 78, of Dowagiac passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

A Celebration of Life service will take place at 2p.m. Sunday, April 8, at Glenwood Seventh-day Adventist Church, 51089 Glenwood Road in Dowagiac. Myrna was born Dec. 7, 1939, in Dowagiac to George and Martha (Jordan) Haley. On Nov. 24, 1987, she married Steve Sanders in Dowagiac. She worked at Creative Foam for over 20 years before retirement. Myrna loved being outside gardening and was known as someone who loved to joke around. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Myrna is survived by her loving husband, Steve; children, Ricky Lee Lillie, Vicky Lynn King, Sandy Lee (Jason) Fuller, Douglas Alan (Connie Harrington) Lillie, Autum Kaye Nelson and Cindy DeeAnne Yeager; grandchildren, Trisha Kocsis, Shelby Krupinski, Alesia Kurz, Matthew Peters, Melinda Morgan, Heather Fondaw, William Yeager III and Anna Yeager; 11 great-grandchildren and brother George “Bud” Haley.

Myrna was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Shellie Raye Nelson and sister, Marcia Smith.
