I regret that the recent controversy involving my service as a Cass County commissioner has taken attention away from the important work to be done on behalf our residents and businesses.

I have been a part of this community my entire life, as an educator for 30 years, and an elected official for more than 25 years. I am grateful for the many people who have assured me that the complaint does not describe the person they know, my character or my values.

Despite challenging times, my passion for Cass County has not wavered. I will continue to do whatever I can to build an inclusive culture, increase consensus and make Cass County a better place.
