2-20LambObitLarry F. Lamb, 68, of Buchanan, passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 18, 2015.

Larry was born June 25, 1946 in Dowagiac. He lived as a boy in Cassopolis and Frankfort, Michigan until moving to Buchanan in middle school. He graduated from Buchanan High School in 1964.

On Nov. 5, 1966 at St. Anthony’s in Buchanan, Larry married Barbara Lear. He worked at Clark Equipment on the finish machine line on River Street until having an accident in 1980 that left him a paraplegic. Larry was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and could not be interrupted while they were on. He loved camping, playing horseshoes and was a longtime member of Loyal Order of Moose 449, Buchanan. When his children were younger he was very active in coaching little league, football and hockey. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing euchre and going to Detroit baseball games.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara; son, Larry (Jayne) Lamb of Niles; daughter, Cynthia (Kurt) Brown of Buchanan; sisters, Joyce (Dave) Gearhart of Winauma, Florida and Carol Riggs of Marcellus, Michian; four grandchildren, Kyle Brown, Brent Brown, Paige Lamb, and Larry Lamb and several nieces and nephews.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, James and Katherine Lamb; brother, Jim Lamb and nephew, Steve Lamb.

Visitation for Larry will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Funeral services will take place following visitation at 1 pm with Father Richard Altine of St. Anthony’s Catholic, Buchanan officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Adamsville Cemetery, Ontawa Township, Michigan.
