As current president of the Lake Michigan College Foundation, I want to go on record as endorsing Mary Jo Tomasini for the Lake Michigan College Board of Trustees.

Mary Jo has served on the board for the past six years, bringing her unique viewpoint as a successful local businessperson and alumna of the college. She has a passion for community college education, and strives to constantly improve the continuing education experience made available to our community at LMC.

Since becoming a Trustee, Mary Jo has been a part of some significant accomplishments, including the addition of Beckwith Residential Hall and a new student life center. Also, during her tenure on the board, the college has added the Applied Science in Energy Production & Distribution Management bachelor degree program, becoming only the second community college in Michigan with this baccalaureate program.

Mary Jo has served on the LMC Winner’s Circle Executive Committee for three years, raising significant money for student scholarships and providing further evidence of her intense love for Lake Michigan College. Our community is extremely fortunate to have Mary Jo Tomasini provide her support and leadership to the college. Mary Jo believes that her professional and personal journey would have landed her in a completely different space, had it not been for LMC, creating a personal gratitude that fuels her passion for our great community resource, Lake Michigan College.

Please join me in support of Mary Jo Tomasini for Lake Michigan College Board of Trustees, and vote for her on Nov. 4.
