William Meryl Donoho, 65, of Eau Claire, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, in Dowagiac, Mich.
A time of sharing and celebrating Bill’s life will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St. Dowagiac. A graveside service will be held at a later date, with military rites being performed by Marcellus Military Rites Team. Memorials may be made to Hope Lodge, 411 Second St. NW, Rochester, MN, 55601. Bill was born August 21, 1948, in Dowagiac, Mich., to Joseph & Martha (Rowe) Donoho. On Dec. 22, 2009 he married Jeanann (Springsteen) Donoho, in Cass County, Mich. Bill valiantly served his country and retired from the Navy after serving his country for over 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, telling stories, watching movies, Civil War history, spending time in the garage and spending time with his friends and family. Bill will be remembered affectionately by his nickname, “S.O.B,” Sweet Old Bill, by all who knew and loved him.
He was survived by his wife, Jeanann Donoho, his two sons, Nathan Donoho, of Dowagiac; Mark (Meredith) Donoho, of Edwardsburg; three daughters, Cathy (Mike) Parks, of Tennessee; Patti (Ed) Badner, of Cassopolis; Chris Hardy, of St. Joseph, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Olivia, Joe, Gabby, Christina, Alex, Grant, and Gavin, three sisters, Jo Lynn (Chet) Swisher, of Eau Claire, Mich.; Cathy (Chuck) Curtis, of Fla.; Debbie (Chuck) Preis, of Eau Claire, Mich.; his “Grandpa” Harry Pellow, of Dowagiac, his Aunt Catherine Hart, of Dowagiac, Mich.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Steven Donoho.
