William H. “Billy” Chapman Jr., 42, of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 9:19 a.m. Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at Yazel and Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, with Pastor Stacey Wilder officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. on Monday, also at the funeral home.

Billy was born Feb. 1, 1971, to William Chapman and Deborah Martin in Mishawaka.
Billy proudly cooked at his sister’s restaurant, Laura’s Little Burger Joint, in Decatur.
He enjoyed the great outdoors, biking and hunting. Billy will be remembered as a person who loved children, animals and his family. He will be remembered as a person who told good jokes and always took initiative.
Billy is survived by: his daughter, Jamie Kineman, of Gilbert, Ariz.; his grandchildren, Aracely and Larenzo Bustillos, both of Gilbert; his parents, William H. (Sue) Chapman, of Dowagiac and Deborah (Daniel) Martin, of Mishawaka; and his siblings, Scott (Anita) Chapman of Hemet, Calif., Laura (Steve) Green of Decatur, Jason (Amy) Chapman, of Berrien Springs, Margaret Osborn of Hemet, Lawrence Chapman Jr. of Mishawaka, Steven Chapman of Dowagiac, Angela Chapman of Mishawaka, David (McKenzie) Chapman of Dowagiac, Matthew Riggs of Dowagiac, Amy Szczepanski of Allegan; and Amber Riggs of Dowagiac.
