Ruth I. Curtis, 86

 

Born: June 25, 1926

 

Died: April 13, 2013

 

Ruth’s life began on June 25, 1926, in LaGrange, Ind., the daughter of Wilbur and Carrie (Weible) Wallace.  She was united in marriage to Evan Wallace on Oct. 24, 1948, in Howe, Ind. 

 

Evan and Ruth owned and operated Curtis TV Sales and Service in Dowagiac from 1952 until they retired in 1974. 

 

Ruth was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 263.  She is survived by: a niece, Barbara (Jim) Mesko of Cassopolis; nephew,  Charles (Kathy) Curtis of Dowagiac; and two sisters-in-law, Donna Ferrara of New Jersey and Willa Wallace of Sturgis. 

 

 Ruth passed away at her home on Saturday, April 13, 2013. 

 

 She is preceded in death by her husband Evan and brothers George, Eugene and John Wallace. Private services are planned. Yazel and Clark Chapel is serving her family.
