Barbara Dianne Nearpass, 69

Died: April 15, 2013

 

Barbara Dianne Nearpass, 69 of Eau Claire, went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 15, 2013, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.

 

   Barbara was born June 16, 1943, in Middlesboro, Ky., the daughter of Charles and Zola (Brooks) Ramsey Jr., both of whom precede her in passing. Also preceding her in passing was a grandchild, Eryn Micah.

 

   Her greatest joy was the precious times she spent with her family, especially 17 grandkids. She was a loving wife to her husband, Guy, and a wonderful mother to her children, Charles (Michelle) Nearpass of Berrien Springs, Julia (Keith) Klann of Dowagiac, Scott (Erika) Nearpass of Coloma and Guy (Melissa) Nearpass Jr. of Dowagiac.

 

She is also survived by two brothers, Ted (Marcelle) Ramsey of Michigan and Richard (Linda) Ramsey of Tennessee.

 

   Barbara was a member of Keeler General Baptist Church, where she taught Vacation Bible School for a number of years. She enjoyed helping her husband with their garden and he would challenge everyone to beat her at the Mario Brothers game.

 

   A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Keeler General Baptist Church with Pastor Efrain Maya officiating.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial donations in Barbara’s name be made to the Diabetes Association or Keeler General Baptist Church.
