Margaret Ravish, 92

Died: Sept. 27, 2012

Margaret Ravish, 92, of Sturgis, died Sept. 27, 2012, at Sturgis Hospital of natural causes.

She was born July 22, 1920, in Jasonville, Ind., to John F. Bender and Hazel O. Kent.

She lived in Niles and moved to Winter Haven, Fla., in the early 1970s. She married Franklyn D. Robbins in 1942 and Clarence Ravish in 1970.

Margaret was a member of the Niles Seventh-day Adventist Church many years before moving to Florida, where she was a member of the Winter Haven Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was the church treasurer for many years. She was very active with church lunches, crafts and loved garage sales.

She is survived by a brother, Jerry Bender, of Big Rapids; sister, Clare (Bender) Keeler, of Utah; three children, Sandra McCurry, of Sturgis, Garhart Robbins, of Clinton, Ark., and Craig (Evelyn) Robbins, of Niles; eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; four stepchildren, the late Wilma Anderson, Norma McPherson, of Missillon, Ohio, Phyllis (John) Bechler, of Niles, and Mary (Russell) Chadderdon, of Buchanan; eight step-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; brothers, Flavious, Darl and Bobby; and sister, Doris Jaynes.

Services will be announced. Cremation has taken place.
