Betty Connor, 92

Betty Connor, 92, of Vandalia, died peacefully Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, in her residence in the presence of her family.

She was born Oct. 31, 1919, in Horton, Kansas, to Jesse and Anna (Rollins) Evans. She married Elmer Connor in 1940 in Evanston, Ill. He preceded her in death.

She was also preceded by her parents; two sons, Elmer “Woody” Connor and Mark Connor; six sisters, and one brother.

Betty retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier. Betty will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Sally Jo Connor, of Vandalia; and her sister, Dolores Stewart, of Las Vegas, Nev.

The family will observe a private remembrance.

The family prefers memorial contributions to the Betty Connor Humane Society, PO Box 53, Vandalia, MI 49095.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner Family Funerals, Cassopolis.
