Joyce “JJ” Irene Jackson, 70, of Dowagiac, died at 11 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012, at her home of natural causes.

She was born April 9, 1942, in Chicago. She lived in the Niles area all her life. She was a homemaker and retired from Intraspect in 2002.

Joyce married Bob W. Jackson on Nov. 1, 1969, in Buchanan. He survives in Dowagiac.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earnest and Jenny Wilcut; and a daughter, Cheryl Sink, in 1998.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; sons, Robert Jackson, of Dowagiac, and Daniel (Jennifer) Moore, of Niles; daughters, Sherree Wilkey, of Elkhart, Ind., and Sherrie (David) York, of Buchanan; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at noon Aug. 9 at Hope Community Church, 2390 Lake St., Niles. Family and friends are welcome.

A small luncheon will be held afterward.
