To the editor:

We would like to thank the Wayne Township and Dowagiac fire departments for responding to our garage fire on June 22 in Twin Lakes.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Scott Palmer, our grandson Scott Wade, Tyler Wade and Brian Buchanan for saving our house from further damage.

Thanks to all our friends, neighbors and relatives who helped in any way or expressed words of kindness during our loss.
