Patricia Ann (Webb) Mack, 74, of Keeler, passed away at Lakeland Regional Medical Center on Friday, July 20, 2012.

Patricia’s life began Oct. 13, 1937, in Herron, Ill., the daughter of Harold and Rose (James) Webb. She was a 1955 graduate of Elkhart Central High School and a graduate of the South Bend Business School. Patricia also earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. Following graduation from business school, she worked for several Elkhart area businesses, including Wells Cargo.

After earning her teaching degree at University of Indiana, Patricia taught both elementary and high school science in Libertyville, Ill., Jimtown High School, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Kohler, Wis. She also worked as an administrative assistant in the pediatric ward of the University of Iowa Medical Center and for the emergency medical services in Iowa City.

After leaving the professional world, Patricia cared for her mother in her home for several years.

Patricia was united in marriage to Jeffery Mack on June 7, 1970, in Elkhart. She loved to fish, play scrabble and cards. Patricia was an excellent cook that made everything taste good. She loved the six Irish setters she adopted from shelters over the last 35 years and was always on the hunt for a good bargain at Goodwills all over the area.

Patricia was a member of the Keeler United Methodist Church.

Her loving family includes her husband of 42 years, Jeffrey Mack, of Keeler; her brother, Harold (Donna) Webb of Indianapolis, and nephews Jim Webb of Tennessee, Kevin Webb, of Indianapolis, Dennis Webb, of Indianapolis, Kenneth Webb, of Ohio, and Roger Webb, of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her family will gather with friends Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Keeler United Methodist Church where her memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. led by Pastor Heather McDougall. She will be laid to rest in Keeler Cemetery.
