A 16-year-old Niles resident died in a rollover accident this afternoon in Bertrand Township.

According to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, Dilan Shearer withstood a fatal injury after his vehicle struck a tree at 1:49 p.m.

Rescue workers responded to the single vehicle rollover accident on Oak Forest Road near Curran Road in Bertrand Township.

Shearer last attended Buchanan High School. He had just left a Father’s Day celebration and was going to another relatives house in Bertrand Township.
