Michigan softball clinched a share of its fourth straight Big Ten Championship on Friday after defeating in-state rival Michigan State, 8-0.

It is the Wolverines’ 14th conference title, and they become the first team in Big Ten history to win four straight crowns.

Michigan’s Jordan Taylor pitched six shutout innings and tied her season-high with 13 strikeouts to notch her 28th win of the year. Dorian Shaw hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth to end the game.

The Wolverines aim to sweep the season series from the Spartans and earn the outright conference championship today in East Lansing. The game is set for 1 p.m. and will be televised live by the Big Ten Network.
