Dear editor:

As one with 32 years of experience in law enforcement, I strongly support sending our Congressman Fred Upton back to Washington.

Having worked with Fred for many years, I cannot think of a person better suited for the job. He is a true friend of local law enforcement and a dedicated public servant who always puts the interests of his community before everything else.
What you see is what you get with Fred. He is one of the most genuine, unassuming and hard-working individuals I have had the privilege to work with. In my professional experience, I have generally found that a team is only as good as the person in charge. Fred’s office is no exception; I have always found his staff to be a great resource for my department and the community at large.

People are dissatisfied with most of what they see coming out of Washington, and with good reason. Now more than ever, we need the best leaders our country has to offer. I for one want to see Fred on that leadership team. Let’s send him back for another two years.
